Privacy policy
Last updated: 25 October 2026
You can read articles on Mitkaven and use the search without opening an account or providing a name, email address or phone number. This page explains what information may be generated during your visit and what happens when you follow a link to another website.
Reading and searching the website
The website has no registration, contact forms or comment system. Search filters the articles in your browser. The search term appears in the page URL so you can save or share it; when the page reloads, this URL may be included in server logs. We recommend that you do not enter personal or sensitive information in searches.
Technical information while browsing
As with any website, the browser contacts the server to display pages and images. The hosting provider may record technical details such as your IP address, the page requested, the time of your visit and your browser type. This information may be used to operate the service, maintain security and resolve problems. How it is stored and for how long depend on the hosting service and its settings.
Cookies and usage measurement
The accessibility tool saves your chosen settings in your browser's local storage. Your choice to accept or reject non-essential components is also saved there. You can change your choice using the Cookies & privacy button at the bottom of each page, reset settings in the accessibility tool or delete site data in your browser settings. The website package does not run non-essential analytics tools, and analytics code that has not been approved in the package is blocked. Dismissing the notice in a previous version does not count as consent. Your choice does not disable server logs required for operation and security.
Links to other websites
Some articles include links to external websites. Following a link opens a website managed separately from Mitkaven, where information is handled under that website's privacy policy. Before providing details or making a purchase on an external website, it is worth reading its privacy policy and terms of use.
Policy updates
If we add a service that changes how information is collected or used, we will update this page. The update date appears at the top of the page.
